2017 Northeast Passenger Transportation Conference/Expo: NEPTA has set the date for the 2017 biennial event. join us Monday, April 3 as we move into the Rhode Island Convention Center to set for the Expo on Tuesday, April 4. Tuesday will open with breakfast, a FTA Plenary Session, followed by sessions and the transportation expo. All events will take place at the convention center.
Registration information and booth reservation forms will be available soon. There are several hotels in the area, including the Biltmore and the connected Omni hotel (800-The Omni). No special discount room block is available as the rooms are at a low rate of $149-$169. The event dates: Exhibitor move-in Monday, April 3 followed by an evening reception. Tuesday, April 4 will be a full day of sessions and the transportation expo.

The NorthEast Passenger Transportation Association (NEPTA) is an association of transit providers, vendor and industry specialists dedicated to promoting transit issues at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
NEPTA's Mission: The NorthEast Passenger Transportation Association (NEPTA) is a non-profit association of passenger transportation professionals, in the public and private sectors whose mission is:
Promote professionalism in its industry through conferences and workshops,
Disseminate information on issues of interest within the urban and rural passenger transportation communities,
Promote interchange networking cooperation and fellowship among its members and other related organizations,and to
Represent the concerns of its members on issues of federal and regional interest.
The NEPTA membership consists of over 200 members throughout the six northeastern states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Each state is represented on the NEPTA Board of Directors. Additional board members represent vendors and other transportation companies in accordance with the NEPTA bylaws.
NEPTA recently formed a NEPTA Maintenance Committee. This committee was formed to host discussions with maintenance representatives from Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The committee's goal is to meet twice a year to gather and share maintenance information throughout the NEPTA membership.
